FRANKENMUTH -- It doesn't get much better than a showdown of two undefeated teams in the MHSAA playoffs.

Frankenmuth travels to Powers Catholic Friday in a second round district match up.

It's also a rematch of last year in which Powers won en route to their Division five state title.

For the Eagles, they said, this year will be different.

Frankenmuth is 10-0 this season, including a first round playoff win against Carrollton last week.

Coach Tim Van Wormer said his veteran team has bought in to their motto this season: ACT which stands for accountability, character and trust.

He also said his guys are good at wearing teams down in the fourth quarter, because they don't have many two-way players.

Van Wormer and the Eagles are hoping all of that combined will lead to a victory over the Chargers this time.

"We have more confidence this year than what we had last year," Van Wormer said. "Another thing is, these kids believe they can do it."

"We have a great defensive line and we haven't turned the ball over much this year," Eagles Quarterback Chris List said. "Last year, we did and it hurt us."

"We're a lot more focused, we're going a lot harder this year," Senior Guard Alex Helpap said. "We have a lot more speed too. I think it's going to be a good game."

NBC25 will be at the game at 7 PM Friday night at Holy Redeemer Field. So, tune in to the Friday Night Football Show at 11:15 PM for highlights and post game reaction.
