Carman-Ainsworth and Flint Powers squared off despite the snow day.

For the boys, Carman held off Powers with a score of 62-42. Denzell Watts for Carman put up 23 points and Jonathan Dzido for Powers led his team with 13 points.

Carman-Ainsworth remains undefeated with a record of 11-3-0. Powers falls to 5-10-0.

For the girls, it was Powers holding off Carman with a score of 65-25. Madison Sabourin of Powers hit 14 points and Randi Richardson led Carman with 8 points.

That puts Powers at a record of 10-6, and Carman-Ainsworth with a record of 7-10.

The 2012 CIFL Champs Saginaw Sting debuted at the Dow Event Center. The Sting coming out of the gate strong beating the Marion Blue Racers 49-28. New quarterback A.J. McKenna for the Sting threw for 131 yards and a touchdown. WR Daryl Gooden had six catches for 96 yards and score. The sting looking to win their third championship in a row this season.
