FLUSHING -- The Flushing Raiders have been to the volleyball quarterfinals four times in school history.
They're hoping to make it five with a regional final win over Fenton Thursday.
It's a match up that was created after Fenton beat Davison Tuesday and Flushing beat Midland in a close one: five games, the last one a 17-15 win.
Head Coach Shawn Andrews said her team has grown so much over the year, especially since they started off the season without several seniors from the year before.
She said a lot of tough tournament play has brought Flushing to this point, they believe they match up well with the Tigers.
"I think they have a relentless attitude on defense and they just want to get one more touch," Andrews said of her Raiders. "On the back of their T-shirts, it says 'if you don't believe, you don't belong.' At this point, you really have to believe you can win on any given night and we do."
Flushing plays Fenton at 7 PM Thursday at Linden High School.
