Alban stops 32 shots for team's first shutout
FLINT -- Chad Alban stopped 32 shots and the Flint Generals got goals from Josef Fojtik and John DiPace for a 2-0 win over the Kalamazoo Wings at Perani Arena Thursday night.
It was Flint's first shutout all season.
The game featured only four penalties, but a first period fight between Flint's Justin Styffe and Kalamazoo's Bryan Jurynec got the fans to their feet.
Saturday, the Generals host Port Huron at 7:30 p.m.
Prior to the game, Perani Arena will host a special Red Wings vs. Generals alumni game.
The puck drops at 5:30 p.m.
