Raiders knock off Traverse City West
FLINT -- Flushing has found its way to the state quarterfinals.
The Raiders beat Traverse City West 36-32 Thursday night in the Class A Regional Finals of girls basketball playoffs at Flint Central High School.
Junior Jordan LaDuke scored all eleven of Flushing's first quarter points, and the team used a 14-5 run in the third quarter to pull away from the Gladiators. LaDuke finished with a game-high 26 points.
Flushing takes on Lake Orion Tuesday night at Grand Blanc High School with a trip to the state semifinals on the line.
In Class B, Flint Powers is headed back to the state quarterfinals after a convincing 57-36 victory over Pontiac Notre Dame Prep at North Branch High School.
Undefeated Hamady picked up another easy win in Class C, disposing of Sandusky 74-52 at Montrose High School.
The Hawks play in Mt. Pleasant Tuesday night versus Morley Stanwood.
