Tournament being held at IMA Brookwood
BURTON -- Come out and see who the ‘best’ golfers are in Genesee County at the Genesee County Amateur Championship to be held at IMA Brookwood Golf Club on June 26, 27 and 28, 2009.
Presented by the IMA Recreation Association, the event will provide three divisions for golfers: an open division for players of all ages; a senior division for golfers 55-65; and a super senior division for golfers 66+. The Open and Senior divisions are 54-hole, 3-day individual stroke play events. The Super Senior division offers a 36-hole, 2-day individual stroke play format. An awards party will be held on Sunday, June 28 following play at IMA Brookwood Golf Club in Burton.
“We wanted to run a first class event for the golfers here in Genesee County” said Scott Brotebeck, General Operations Manager and Head Golf Professional for IMA Brookwood Golf & Banquet Center. “This tournament offers golfers a quality course with great amenities. Our new driving range is open to warm-up on and a new scoreboard was constructed especially for this event. Our outdoor grill will be open for golfers and spectators all weekend. We hope that the participants return for the awards party (with appetizers!) on Sunday following the event” added Brotebeck.
