Schultz powers Frankenmuth softball to victory
UNIVERSITY CENTER -- The Bay City Western softball team scored two runs in the seventh to stun Ortonville-Brandon 2-1 in the Division 1 Regional Final Saturday on the campus of Saginaw Valley State University.
The Western baseball team followed suit with a 2-0 triumph over Grand Blanc.
With the win over the Bobcats, the Warriors move to an impressive 36-6 overall.
In Division 3 softball, Frankenmuth got home runs in back-to-back games from Heather Schultz and beat Brown City 7-2 in the regional final.
Schultz registered 14 strikeouts in the championship game.
