Tigers 3B one of five candidates
DETROIT -- Major League Baseball on Sunday announced the candidates for the 2009 All-Star Game Sprint Final Vote.
Tigers third baseman Brandon Inge is among the final five candidates to join Tigers teammates Curtis Granderson, Edwin Jackson and Justin Verlander for the 80th Major League Baseball All-Star Game at Busch Stadium in St. Louis on July 14, 2009.
Fans can begin voting for Inge on www.tigers.com today and can continue voting until balloting concludes at 4 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday, July 9. The winners, as chosen exclusively by online fan voting totals, will be announced on MLB.com shortly thereafter.
Fans who vote for Inge on the 2009 All-Star Game Sprint Final Vote ballot on www.tigers.com will be automatically entered to win a Brandon Inge autographed bat.
Mobile voting is available exclusively on Sprint capable mobile phones and fans can send the word "Vote" to 1122 to receive the 2009 All-Star Game Sprint Final Vote ballot. Standard text rates apply. In Canada, fans should text the word "Vote" to 88555.
