Clio, Michigan -- The second round of the inaugural Michigan SuperMoto Championship, presented by College Bike Shop, takes place at Auto City Speedway in Clio this Sunday.
Indiana’s Chase Guthrie is leading the way in the Pro Class on his Bloomington Power Sports Kawasaki after a well-earned win at round one.
The course features a 17-degree banked turn, long straightaway, sweeping turns, and a dirt section with a tabletop, double jump and rhythm section. It is safe for amateurs while offering a challenging, fast course for pros. Last year’s winner at the MISuperMoto X at Auto City Speedway was California’s Danny Casey.
Gates open at 10:30 a.m. for racers and spectators. Practice starts at noon with the heats kicking off at 4 p.m. The speedway is located at 10205 N. Saginaw Road in Clio. For map and directions, visit www.autocityspeedway.com. Racer entry fee is $75 and spectators are $10 which includes pit access.
The third and final round of the Michigan SuperMoto Championship, presented by College Bike Shop, will be Sunday, September 27 at Auto City Speedway.
