Eagles win home opener, improve to 2-2
FRANKENMUTH -- Frankenmuth senior Jenny McCain had 19 points and hit the game winning shot with eight seconds to play as the Eagles knocked off previously unbeaten Buena Vista 54-53 Thursday night in high school girls basketball at Frankenmuth High School.
Marissa Akins had 17 points to lead the Knights, who led by five at the half.
Frankenmuth improves to 2-2, while Buena Vista falls to 3-1.
