STATE COLLEGE, PA (AP) -- Laval Lucas-Perry keyed a second-half spurt with four 3-pointers and DeShawn Sims had a game-high 25 points as Michigan erased a 16-point deficit to defeat Penn State 64-55 on Thursday night.

The Wolverines (8-6, 2-1 Big Ten) overcame an awful first half, in which they shot 0-for-12 from 3-point range. Michigan trailed 42-26 with 12:24 left after a 3 by Penn State's Chris Babb before closing with a 38-13 run.

Manny Harris' three-point play put Michigan up 48-47 with 4:58 left - its first lead since early in the first half.

Lucas-Perry hit two 3s over the next two-plus minutes, including a trey with 2:17 left to put Michigan up by eight.

The comeback silenced a Jordan Center crowd that had watched Penn State (8-7, 0-3) build a 31-16 halftime lead. Talor Battle scored nine in the half, but never scored after halftime and finished 4-of-12 shooting.
