FLUSHING -- Jordan LaDuke caught fire at just the right moment and Flushing handed Goodrich its first loss of the season, as the Raiders beat the visting Martians 37-30 Monday night in high school girls basketball.

LaDuke finished with 18 points.

Teammate Connor Morrish added eight points, and spoke with NBC25 about the win.

"Of course we knew it was going to be a hard game.  It's a win for us.  We knew we had to do everything it was going to take to win and we knew that they were undefeated and we knew we could do it.  We came out with a win and i'm just proud of our team," said Morrish, who spent the game matched up against Goodrich star Emily England.

At the International Academy of Flint, the host Lady Phoenix snuck by LakeVille 49-44.

IAF's Myra Brown had a game-high 19 points.
