Bear head coach wins 500th career game at Mott
MACOMB -- It was hardly another routine, dominant victory for Mott Bears head coach Steve Schmidt.
Mott's 77-44 win at Macomb on Saturday afternoon gave Schmidt yet another glowing achievement on his coaching resume, as he secured his 500th victory at Mott in his 18th season at the helm.
Torian Oglesby's perfect shooting day from paced the Bears' effort, as the sophomore from Buena Vista went 8-for-8 from the field and scored a team-high 17 points. Bobby Lewis added 13 in the winning effort.
The Bears improved to 22-3 overall, and 12-1 in the conference, sitting in first place with three games remaining. The next of those battles take place Saturday the 20th, when Mott visists St. Clair
