Sanders scores 24 in final home game; Chargers win 70-51

MT. MORRIS TWP. -- DeMarco Sanders scored 24 points in his final home game at Flint Powers' gymnasium, and the defending state champs closed out the regular season with a win over fellow Class-B powerhouse Gabriel Richard, 70-51.

Powers had four players in double-figures, and overcame a five-point deficit after one quarter to play a dominant second half en route to the victory.  The Chargers begin their state title defense on Monday night with a very tough matchup at Goodrich in the district opener.  The Martians went undefeated in the GAC Red this season.
