Hawks face St. Ignace Saturday afternoon
EAST LANSING -- Arlesia Morse had 20 points and 14 rebounds and Hamady rallied to beat rival New Lothrop 48-43 Thursday afternoon in the Class C state semifinals in East Lansing.
Monica Confer had 11 points and 10 rebounds for New Lothrop, which led 20-13 at the half.
Defending champion Hamady faces St. Ignace Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Class C state title game at the Breslin Center.
St. Ignace beat Niles Brandywine 64-35 in the other Class C semifinal.
"That same fiery energy that I brought into the locker room, you probably need a hidden camera in there to see me. I was jumping around, moving around, trying to demonstrate the type of energy that they should be showing out there on the court," said Hamady head coach Keith Smith, referring to his halftime speech on Thursday.
