Bellairs notches hat trick in 8-0 romp
LINDEN -- Not even 30 seconds had elapsed before Linden dented the scoreboard, and it would prove a sign of things to come.
Behind a hat trick from star senior Molly Bellairs, the Eagles breezed to an 8-0 victory over visiting Lake Fenton in an interconference showdown Friday afternoon. Linden owned a 6-0 halftime lead.
A scary moment occurred early in the first half, as Bellairs collided with Lake Fenton goalkeeper Emma Kusnier on a 50-50 ball. Kusnier was on the ground for several moments before ultimately walking off the field under her own power, though she did not return to the game.
