Burton, MI – Come see the best amateur golfers in Genesee County at the Genesee County Amateur Championship at IMA Brookwood Golf Club on June 25, 26 and 27.
Presented by the IMA Recreation Association, the event will provide four divisions for golfers: an open division for players of all ages; a senior division for golfers 50-62; a super senior division for golfers 63+ and NEW this year a women’s division for female participants of any age. All divisions will play a 54-hole individual stroke play format.
“The golf course is in great shape right now and will be for the tournament” said Chris Allard, golf course manager at IMA Brookwood Golf Club. “Our new practice facility complete with chipping green is open to warm-up on and the new scoreboard constructed last season especially for this event will help the golfers see who is leading the tournament. The outdoor grill will also be open for golfers and spectators all weekend” added Allard.
