Hendrickson holds on for win in second game

GENESEE TOWNSHIP -- BY: Steven Christakos

Junior pitcher Chelsey Hendrickson worked out of a seventh inning jam and her Kearsley Hornets beat Swartz Creek 6-3 in the second game to earn a split Monday evening at Kearsley High School.

"It helped me out a lot just being able to do that and have the team behind me it helps out a lot. I felt good after I got going and everything and it was pretty good," said Hendrickson, who got a nice double play behind her to end the Dragons' seventh inning threat.

Swartz Creek won game one to earn a conference split.
