State quarterfinals slated for later this week

FENTON -- Lea Livingston's second half goal proved to be the difference as Lapeer East held off Warren Regina 1-0 Tuesday night at Fenton High School in the Division Two regional semifinals in girls soccer. 

The Lady Eagles face Bloomfield Hills Marian Thursday night in the regional finals.

In Montrose, Frankenmuth stunned Flint Powers 1-0 thanks to a first half goal off a corner kick in the Division Three regional semifinals.

Eagles goalie Angela Napolitano made two key saves in the final minutes to preserve the victory.

Frankenmuth battles fellow TVC member Freeland on Friday in the regional finals.
