(AP) -- DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings have released their 2010-11 regular season schedule, which kicks off Oct. 8 against Anaheim at Joe Louis Arena.
The Wings play the next night at the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks and will get to watch the Blackhawks raiser their championship banner.
Other home games next season include matchups with the other five of the "Original Six" teams as well as visits from 2009 champion Pittsburgh; last year's runners-up, the Philadelphia Flyers; and Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals.
Detroit also announced Tuesday it is moving up to 7 p.m. the start times for all weekday home games.
