Sentenced to six months probation and fines
ROSCOMMON (AP) -- Detroit Lions president Tom Lewand has pleaded guilty to impaired driving. The 83rd District Court in Roscommon confirmed Lewand entered the plea Friday and was sentenced to six months of probation with $870 in fines and costs.
Lewand's attorney Todd Flood requested the hearing be moved three days earlier than it was originally scheduled.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has said the NFL will review Lewand's case because the personal conduct policy applies to everyone who works for the league.
Lewand was arrested last month after his car was seen crossing from one lane to another after leaving a bar's parking lot. He had a 0.21 and 0.20 percent blood-alcohol level after refusing several times to be tested by police when he was pulled over.
