Cotton rushes for 94 yards and TD

MT. PLEASANT (AP) -- Ryan Radcliff threw for 242 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score as Central Michigan defeated Hampton 33-0 Thursday night.

Paris Cotton rushed for 94 yards and a TD, and Carl Volny added a rushing score for the Chippewas (1-0). Volny also caught three passes for 60 yards.

Steve Robinson led the Pirates (0-1) with 67 rushing yards.

Central Michigan scored its first points on a first-quarter safety and 51 seconds later led 16-0 after TDs by Volny and Cotton.

The Chippewas held Hampton to 49 rushing yards and recorded three sacks.
