Robinson garners conference player of week honors
ANN ARBOR -- Michigan wide receiver Roy Roundtree is doubtful for the Wolverines' game at Notre Dame on Saturday, after suffering internal bruises during UM's 30-10 victory over UCONN.
Roundtree was blindsided early in the third quarter on a clean hit by Huskies' cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson.
Also doubtful for Saturday is safety-linebacker Carvin Johnson.
Meanwhile, Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, following his record-setting performance in the season opener.

In his first career start, Robinson set school records in total offense (383 yards) and rushing yards by a quarterback (197) to lead Michigan to a victory over Connecticut. The sophomore quarterback completed 19 of 22 passes (86.4 pct.) for 186 yards and a touchdown while sprinting 197 yards on 29 carries (6.8 avg.) with another touchdown. His 197 rushing yards are the sixth most by a signal caller in conference history while his completion percentage of 86.4 is second in school annals behind only Elvis Grbac, who completed 20 of 22 passes (90.9 pct.) against Notre Dame in 1991.

After missing the entire 2009 season due to injury, Moeller returned to the field against Marshall and led Ohio State by matching a career high with seven tackles and adding a forced fumble and two tackles for loss, including a sack. The senior safety pushed the visiting offense back 10 yards with his two tackles for loss and helped the Buckeyes hold their opponents to no offensive points and only 44 rushing yards.

O’Meara broke through for a blocked punt and returned it 42 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter against Eastern Illinois to give Iowa a 21-0 lead. The senior running back, who also rushed four times for 34 yards, recorded the Hawkeyes’ first blocked punt return for a score since teammate Adrian Clayborn accomplished the feat at Penn State last season.

Le’Veon Bell, Michigan State

Bell became the first true freshman running back in MSU history to crack the 100-yard mark in his debut, breaking loose for 141 yards on just 10 carries (14.1 avg.) with a pair of touchdowns against Western Michigan. Bell’s 75-yard sprint around right end set up the Spartans’ third touchdown, giving the hosts a 21-7 lead with 3:26 left in the half. He tallied his first career touchdown just before halftime, scoring from two yards out with 34 seconds left in the second quarter. His 18-yard scoring sprint capped MSU’s opening drive of the second half to give the Spartans a 35-7 advantage. Bell surpassed the 100-yard barrier in the first half alone with 108 yards before halftime.
Rob Bolden, Penn State

Bolden became the first true freshman quarterback to start Penn State’s season opener since 1910 and excelled, completing 20 of 29 passes (69.0 pct.) for 239 yards and two touchdowns in a victory over Youngstown State. His performance marked the best by a true freshman in school history, surpassing Tony Sacca’s mark of 15-of-27 for 215 yards in 1988. Bolden’s 20-yard scoring toss gave the Nittany Lions a lead they would not relinquish in the second quarter. He added a 22-yard scoring strike in the third quarter, as PSU tallied 41 unanswered points to take a 44-7 lead.
