Janik recalled from Grand Rapids
DETROIT (AP) -- Red Wings defenseman Brian Rafalski will be out 3 to 4 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.
The team says Tuesday that the 37-year-old Rafalski won't be placed on the injured list. Detroit recalled defenseman defenseman Doug Janik from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League.
Rafalski has two assists in two games this season.
