McGrady sprains ankle in loss
AUBURN HILLS (AP) -- Kobe Bryant scored 33 points without playing in the fourth quarter, and the Los Angeles Lakers took advantage of Richard Hamilton's early ejection in a 103-90 win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night.
Bryant scored 24 in the first half, helping the Lakers open a 14-point halftime lead, and the struggling Pistons allowed the first seven points of the third quarter to fall behind 66-45.
Pau Gasol added 25 points and 12 rebounds for Los Angeles.
Rodney Stuckey scored 18 points for the Pistons.
Bryant had 14 points by the end of the first quarter.
