Many games cancelled due to bad road conditions

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP -- Saginaw Michigan Lutheran Seminary made the trek to Valley Lutheran High School on Tuesday night despite icy road conditions, and was rewarded with a 68-49 victory in boy's basketball.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 20-8 lead, before the Chargers rallied to make it a seven-point game at the half.

A smattering of high school basketball games went on as scheduled Tuesday, mainly in Saginaw County and northward.

A majority of games in Mid-Michigan were cancelled, as the region continues to dig out from Sunday's snowstorm.
