Tigers shake off slow start, win 55-45
FLINT -- The Fenton boys basketball team got by Flint Southwestern Academy 55-45 Monday night on day one of the Coca-Cola Holiday Classic at Flint Northern High School.
The Tigers failed to score a field goal during the opening five minutes of the game, but rallied behind the solid play of twin brothers Ryan and Dylan Hickoff.
The Knights ledd 11-10 after the first quarter, thanks to a halfcourt shot from sophomore Framar Harris.
In earlier games at the Coca-Cola Classic, the Beecher girls beat host Flint Northern 61-51 and the Goodrich girls routed Flint Northwestern 64-41.
Tuesday's schedule at Flint Northern High School:
