Timberwolves fall 89-38
ALLENDALE -- The Northwood University men's basketball team dropped an 89-38 contest at #13 Grand Valley State Wednesday night (January 12).
Northwood falls to 5-10 overall, 3-4 in GLIAC. Grand Valley State improves to 13-2 overall, 8-0 in the GLIAC.
GVSU dominated play from the start, out-scoring Northwood 40-21 in the first half before the Lakers held a 49-17 edge after the break.
For the game, Northwood shot 20.7 percent from the floor (12-58) while GVSU finished at 47.1 percent (24-51). The Lakers also out-scored Northwood 32-10 at the foul line.
Andrew VandDierenDonk (Wyandotte, Mich./Roosevelt) led the Timberwolves with nine points. Bobby Lewis (Saginaw, Mich./Mott CC) led NU with eight rebounds.
Northwood will host Ferris State Saturday (January 15).
