Bears pull away for 82-54 victory

FLINT -- With a 14-4 overall record, and an unblemished 4-0 mark in conference play, the St. Clair Skippers had every reason to feel confident heading into their matchup with the Mott Bears at Ballenger Field House on Saturday afternoon.

Two hours later, reality had set in.

Behind a suffocating defense, the Bears stymied the normally high-powered Skipper offense, en route to an 82-54 victory.  Doug Anderson led the way with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Marshawn Norris added 16.  Mike Brigham chipped with seven points, and added 13 rebounds.

With the victory, the #5 Bears improved to 16-2 overall, and 4-1 in conference play.  They will travel to Oakland on Wednesday night for a 7:30 tip-off.
