Bears earn 81-67 victory to improve to 21-2

FLINT -- It won't erase the damage of recent, painful losses...but it's a start.

Facing a Henry Ford team which denied them a return trip to the National JUCO Tournament last season, and then handed them one of their only two losses of this current season, the Mott Bears earned some payback on Saturday afternoon with an 81-67 victory over the Hawks.

Mike Brigham paced the Bears' attack with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Doug Anderson and Demetrius Miller each added 16 and 14 points, respectively.

The victory pushes Mott's overall record to 21-2, and moved them to 9-1 in conference play, a half-game better than the Hawks, who fell to 9-2.

Mott will next take the court on Monday night in a make-up game at nearby Delta.  Tip-off time is 7:30.
