GENESEE TOWNSHIP -- Jake Vahlbusch and Paul Adas combined for 31 points and Kearsley put away visiting Ortonville-Brandon 62-43 Monday night in high school boys basketball.

The Blackhawks used the full court press to try and rally from a 19-point deficit in the fourth quarter.  Brandon trimmed Kearsley's lead to 15 on two separate occasions, before finally fading out.

Kearsley remains in fourth place in the Flint Metro Conference, trailing Fenton, Holly and Swartz Creek.

Fenton and Holly meet Tuesday night in Tiger country, with sole possession of first place on the line.

In Flushing, the Raiders' girls team blasted Flint Northern 48-29.

Simone Gillum had 12 points for Flushing, as the Raiders improved to 13-4 this season.
