Michigan earns 1-0 victory over Bismarck
TOPEKA, KS -- A lone power play goal from Tyler Perpich was all that was needed for the airtight Michigan Warrior defense to shut down defending champion Bismarck on Thursday night, as the Warriors earned a 1-0 victory to put themselves one victory away from a spot in the upcoming Robertson Cup Tournament.
Perpich scored on the power play with just 1:02 remaining in the second period, and goaltender Robert Tadazak was once again spectacular, stopping all 27 shots which came his way.
Game Two of the best-of-three series will take place Friday night at 8 p.m. EDT, and another Warriors victory will give them the fourth and final spot in the upcoming round-robin, four-team Robertson Cup Tournament from Topeka, Kansas.
