Shortstop was 2009 Midwest League Prospect of the Year
LOS ANGELES -- Former Great Lakes Loons star Dee Gordon has been called up by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Gordon stole 73 bases and batted .301 in 131 games for Great Lakes in 2009, leading the Loons to their first ever playoff appearance.
He ended the season by being named the Midwest League Prospect of the Year.
In 50 games for Triple-A Albuquerque this season, Gordon stole 22 bases and batted .315.
He is the son of former Major League pitcher Tom "Flash" Gordon.
