Jones tosses ten touchdowns in 86-69 victory over Drillers

SAGINAW -- Tommy Jones had a UIFL-record ten touchdown passes and the Saginaw Sting beat the Eastern Kentucky Drillers 86-69 Friday night in 'Ultimate Bowl I" at the Dow Event Center.

Jones was not with the team during last week's semifinal win over Northern Kentucky, because of personal reasons.

But he returned for the title game, and was poised from the early going, connecting with wide receiver LaVaughn Macon on a pair of early touchdowns.

The Saginaw Sting were formed in 2008, changed leagues in 2009, before folding prior to the 2010 season.

After re-organizing, the Sting joined the first-year Ultimate Indoor Football League.
