Highly-touted Flint guard has a chance to play Big Ten basketball
FLINT -- Flint Beecher's Monte Morris has received a scholarship offer from the University of Michigan and Wolverines coach John Beilein.
The high school junior averaged 18 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.8 assists last season for Beecher, and was a unanimous selection on the Class C All-State basketball team.
Morris also led Beecher to the state semifinals, where they bowed out to McBain.
The guard is one of the most sought-after prospects of the Class of 2013 in the Midwest.
The guard is also drawing interest from schools such as Michigan State, Central Michigan, Western Michigan and several schools outside the state.
