Chargers have not won a game since 2008

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP -- After going more than two years without a 'W,' Valley Lutheran won their first game in grand fashion beating perennial powerhouse Bay City All Saints 53-6.

In Reese, the Rockets came up big offensively, scoring 27 points in the fourth to trounce Houghton Lake 41-12.

The Flushing Raiders open their season with a win at Kearsley, QB Blake Hilsabeck converts on three fourth downs for a touchdown in the second quarter. Flushing wins 21-7.

Carman-Ainsworth met Grand Blanc in Flint Township Friday. two teams with playoff aspirations,Grand Blanc comes out on top 21-14.

"We had a number of guys go two ways tonight, Jordan Fields, Terrance Dye did a great job," said Grand Blanc head coach Joe Delany. "Lester Liston got banged up and we had to play without him late, but he was doing double duty too. Bart Williams our quarterback did a great job, made plays when we had to,"
