Mt. Pleasant remains undefeated atop Saginaw Valley Conference

AUBURN -- A back-and-forth matchup between two undefeated powerhouses ended in a high-scoring 52-49 win for Mt. Pleasant over Bay City Western.

The Warriors recovered an onside kick late, but missed a game-tying field goal with seven seconds left in regulation.

Carrollton remained perfect as they ran over Valley Lutheran in a 41-6 rout.

Undefeated Millington defeated short-handed Birch Run in a 55-0 blowout.

The Panthers were missing seven starters due to disciplinary actions.

Brandon took early control of their game and went on to top the Swartz Creek Dragons 35-7.

Mt. Pleasant (7-0) awaits Arthur Hill (0-7) next week, Carrollton (7-0) will host Ithaca (7-0), Millington (7-0) hosts Goodrich (5-2), and Brandon (5-2) plays Linden (4-3) in a home game.
