Tigers come back from 14-point second-half defecit to win

BURTON -- Bendle quarterback Jared Garner threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Trevor Hurd late in the fourth quarter to give the Byron Eagles their first loss of the season 36-28.

The Tigers rallied from 14 points down in the second half, scoring 22-unanswered points to improve to 7-1, all in the Genesee Area Conference. Byron falls to 7-1 (6-1 in GAC).

New Lothrop scored 42 points in the first half as they shut out the Genesee Wolves 56-0.

After Byron's loss the Hornets remain the only undefeated team in the GAC Blue division, clinching at least a share of the division title. 

The Montrose Rams clinch the GAC Red title and remain unbeaten after fending off the visiting Lake Fenton Blue Devils 28-19.

Also undefeated after Friday's action is Saginaw Nouvel Catholic Central who beat the Flint Northwestern Academy WIldcats 36-14.
