Ithaca beat Carrollton to win the Tri Valley West Championship

CARROLLTON TOWNSHIP -- Both Carrollton and Ithaca had 7-0 records going into Friday's game, and both were looking for the Tri Valley West Championship. The Yellow jackets came out big early. Garrett Miniard's touchdown run made it 34-7. Travis Smith hooked up with Charles Schneitzer for another score. Ithaca beats Carrollton 55-13 and wins the conference.

Bay City Western and Midland were both already playoff bound when they met Friday in Saginaw Valley match up. Western strikes first when Austin Pichiotino scores on the QB keeper, but that would be the only score the Chemics would allow. Midland beats Bay City Western 34-7.

Carman Ainsworth welcomed Davison Friday night in a Big Nine match up. The Cavaliers come out to a big first half lead. Gerald Holmes-Williams catches a pass from Shane Barron who heads into the end zone for the Cavaliers third unanswered score. Then, Lorenzo Redmond's TD run made it 28-nothing. The Cardinals came back in the second, but Carman Ainsworth holds on for the win 31-28.

The Goodrich Martians were looking to clinch a playoff spot Friday, but they'd have to go through the undefeated Millington Cardinals. Millington up 6-0 in the second quarter when Kile Lester ran for big yardage and a touchdown. A few plays later, Dakota Seybert tosses it to Dustin Jacobs who lowers his shoulder for the touchdown. Millington wins again, 32-14.

The Garber Dukes were coming off their shutout of Caro last week, in need of two wins to make the playoffs. They start with Frankenmuth. The Eagles with a big lead in the second half when Doug Ham kept it himself and goes 20 yards for the touchdown to make 33-0. Garber answered, but the extra point was no good. Frankenmuth rolls over Garber 40-12.
