Detroit Tigers Delmon Young appeared in a Manhattan court Tuesday following his April 27 arrest to follow up on his misdemeanor hate-crime harassment case.
Young is being accused of making anti-Jewish remarks towards a group of tourists as a fight occurred outside of a New York hotel while the Tigers visited the Yankees for a three-game series.
The Tigers outfielder was not offered a plea deal by the prosecutors, however that could change, as reported by the Associated Press. Young’s bail has been set for $5,000 and is expected to return to Manhattan on August 2.
