The Detroit Tigers wrap up their four game road series against the Boston Red Sox at 7:10 pm ET tonight.
Right hander Max Scherzer takes the mound for the Tigers as the Red Sox will send out the veteran Josh Beckett. Scherzer is 4-3 with a 5.67 ERA on the season coming off of consecutive wins in his two previous starts.
Detroit has dropped the first three games of the series to Boston and has been outscored 19-11. Entering today’s game, the Tigers are 5.5 games back of the first place White Sox for the lead in the AL Central.
Following their finale with Boston, the Tigers will return home for a three game series against the New York Yankees.
