DETROIT (AP) -- The Detroit Lions are teaming up with country music artist Randy Houser for a concert that's paired with a team practice at Ford Field.

Country fan and Lions coach Jim Schwartz announced the Aug. 5 "Coach's Kickoff" event during an interview Thursday on WYCD-FM.

Tickets go on sale June 22. Schwartz says he's a fan of Houser but missed him the last time he played the Detroit area.

Country musician Maggie Rose is scheduled to open. Before the show, fans will be able to get player autographs and watch the Lions practice.

Tickets are $20 for the Ford Field floor. General admission in the seating bowl is $5 for kids ages 2 to 12 and $10 for others.

Detroit opens the preseason Aug. 10 against Cleveland at Ford Field.
