BROOKLYN, MI -- Dale Earnhardt Jr won the Quicken Loans 400 Sunday at Michigan International Speedway in dominating fashion, four years to the day of his last Sprint Cup win. Once again, Earnhardt won on Father's day.
"It's really emotional, so many people that this effects and so many people this makes happy," Earnhardt Jr. said. "The best part about it, getting out of the car and seeing a smile on everybody else's face."
"It's been a long time since we won in 09, since this team has been in victory lane," Steve Letarte - Earnhardt's Crew Chief said. "I can tell you they've given me a lot more winning performances that we've brought into victory lane, so it's good to be in victory lane today."
"I keep feeling more and more like we got a shot at putting up a battle, got a shot at giving somebody a fit for a championship," Earnhardt said. "We're contenders after today's run."
Junior is back in Victory lane, but still a few points behind Matt Kenseth for the 2012 Sprint Cup Lead.
