The 101st Michigan Amateur takes place this week at Oakland Hills Country Club North Course, from Monday, June 18 to Friday, June 22.
Golfers from across the state will compete in a five day event, starting with stroke play on Monday and Tuesday to qualify for a 64 player match play tournament, similar to the bracket style of the NCAA Basketball Tournament. The winner of the 101st Amateur will have to win six straight rounds of match play.
