Former Spartan forward Draymond Green was selected by the Golden State Warriors with the No. 5 pick in the second round (No. 35 overall) of Thursday’s NBA draft.

Green spent four years at Michigan State, and finished his career as one of three players in school history to finish with 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Green received the NABC Division I National Player of the Year award this past season and was also named First Team All-American by the Associated Press.

The Warriors finished with the thirteenth best record in the western conference last season, finishing at 23-43.
