The Great Lakes Loons dropped their series finale 4-3 Saturday night to Fort Wayne after surrendering a two-run lead in the seventh.
Pratt Maynard helped the Loons get out to an early lead with a solo home run in the second, his first of the season with Great Lakes.
Great Lakes second run came in the third off a sacrifice fly by Pedro Guerrero, scoring teammate Jeff Hunt. Centerfielder James Baldwin led off the sixth with a solo shot, giving the Loons a 3-1 lead.
However the TinCaps wiped out the two-run deficit on Travis Jankowski’s two-run triple in the seventh. Jankowski later scored the go-ahead run.
The Loons will begin a three-game home stand Sunday against the West Michigan Whitecaps.
