GRAND BLANC -- In Grand Blanc, family and friends of Geena Gall rallied outside Grand Blanc High School in support of the 2012 Summer Olympian.
The rally was a photo-op, organized by Gall's family. Supporters and well-wishers posed for pictures while rallying for support to passers along Holly Road.
Although the Michigan alum resides in Eugene, Oregon and is on her way overseas, her parents, June and Jerry Gall, wants their daughter to know the whole community is behind her.
"Hey, it's 2012. There's never been an Olympian from Grand Blanc before. Let's party!" June Gall, Geena's mother, said.
"It's our daughter but we're sharing her with the community today," Jerry Gall, Geena's dad, said. "This is awesome."
Gall will run in the 800 meter dash in London for the United States. The Summer Olympics start Friday, July 27 and can be seen on NBC25.
