LAPEER -- Cross-town rivalry in Lapeer as East meets West in week three of high school football.

It was a defensive struggle early, until the Panthers got on the board first with a quick strike. 7-nothing Lapeer West.  

The Panthers never looked back. They scored 14 points in the first quarter, 7 in the second; they tacked on 6 points in in the fourth quarter to win 27-0.

Swartz Creek traveled to Flint Kearsley Friday.  

The Dragons took a 35-nothing lead right before a rain delay forced them into calling the game.  Swartz Creek has never made the playoffs, now the Dragons are 3-0 and halfway there.

In Saginaw Township, MLS hosted Merrill in the TVC West.

It was 0-0 after the first quarter, then the MLS Cardinals come through to beat the Vandals 28-14.

In the TVC East, Millington traveled to Frankenmuth, where the Eagles stunned the Cards 12-8.
