DAVISON -- The Davison Cardinals blew out Romulus Summit Academy 62-3, ensuring their second playoff appearance in three seasons.

The Cardinals (6-2, 4-1 in SVL) doubled their win total from a year ago with the victory.

In a Saginaw Valley League North battle of undefeated teams, The Midland Chemics (8-0, 6-0) defeated Bay City Western (7-1, 5-1) 42-15.

Tri-Valley East leader Frankenmuth (8-0, 6-0) remained perfect with a 49-14 win over Birch Run (2-6, 2-4).

Lake Fenton (7-1, 6-0 in GAC) defeated Durand (2-6, 1-6) at home 70-6.

Merrill, Powers Catholic and Flint Carman-Ainsworth were also winners in week eight.
