UNIVERSITY CENTER -- The Saginaw Valley State University football team sits at No. 7 in the initial NCAA Division II Super Region #4 rankings that were released today (Oct. 22).
The Cardinals are one of four teams from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference to be ranked in the top ten this week. The top six teams from each of the four "Super Regions" following the final week of the regular season advance to the NCAA Division II football tournament.
SVSU (6-2, 5-2 GLIAC) will host Michigan Tech (5-2, 5-2 GLIAC) this weekend (Oct. 27), as they look to move into the top-six.
